Author Interview-Faith Lane

I'm so excited to be doing this interview with Faith Lane about her novellas! I asked her these questions and she answered fabulously!! Enjoy reading! Q1- What made you decide to write Christmas novellas? A: The first one, A Christmas Extravaganza was inspired by a woman I know. I immediately wrote it afterwards within a day last year in December. As for the rest of them, God’s timing. I didn’t think I was going to be published until late 2020 but God had other plans and gave me a push to publish these first. Q2- how did you choose the characters names? A: Whenever I am naming a new character I always look for names online that match his personality and sometimes they even tie-in to something secretly with the plot. Especially in my paranormal romance (coming 2020). Sometimes names just come to me naturally though. Q3- Has romance always been your choice of writing? A: No, when I started as a child I had a dream of writing a EPIC fantasy novel. But, later on the charact...

Book review Keeping Her Close by Carol Ross!

Image
"Hired to protect her …unable to resist her   The job sounds simple: teach a businessman’s daughter how to stay safe. But former navy SEAL turned bodyguard Kyle Frasier has a personal motive, too. Harper Jansen is his late best friend’s fiancée. Loyalty demands he protect her, not that Harper looks in need of rescuing. In fact, it’s Kyle who needs help—balancing duty with his desire to build a life with the one woman he shouldn’t want…" Sounds great, right? Well, it was more than great, it was amazing!!  Kyle Frasier sounds like he looks oh so dreamy, and Harper just sounds so beautiful! They are perfect for each other in every way!  We see it many times in the book, but where one doesn't shine in a subject, the other shines enough for both!  Together they create a world of chaos and love.  I was smitten reading the last chapters; I didn't want it to end!  This book is so beautifully written it had me falling in love the whole time. Carol Ross is ...

Book review

So I was sent a free copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest review. So here I am! Seventeen years after being orphaned, Apryl Burns and her twin sister Courtney have their own expectations for life. While Courtney continues to shine at everything, Apryl holds fast to the mantra that as long as her potato chip stash remains intact, then she'll be fine. But when their beloved grandmother ends up injured and unable to manage her struggling antique store, Courtney makes it their mission to revamp the business and save what's left of their family's legacy. Despite rampant doubts in her abilities, Apryl finds herself trapped under the weight of family loyalty as they transition to a wedding venue decorating service. Soon shes forced to ask (translation: blackmail) their grandmother's renter/handyman, Chance McFarland, for help, an arrangement that is made even worse by the fact that Chance is her former (ahem, and current) crush. Now, I don't ...

Review of Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd

So I asked to review this book from Tyndale and I got it! Yay! It was quite different from what I usually read, and I didn't really like it. I mean, it just wasn't me. But obviously I've heard lots and lots of reviews where they loved it, so if you were thinking about reading it, you'll have to see for yourself if it is for you or not. I didn't really like the characters. I couldn't get into them. Eleanor was strong-willed. Yet she let people boss her around. She was incredibly smart, yet sometimes she made really stupid decisions. And Harry. He was quite different from the guys I like. He had good qualities, but also had some bad ones. Which obviously is only human , but he, I don't know, I didn't like him. I couldn't really put my full attention on this book because it just didn't catch me. Here's the synopsis: *"Harry claims to still love her and Eleanor yearns to believe him, but his mysterious comments and actions fuel...

Review for Keep Christianity Weird by Michael Frost

I received this book for free in place of my honest review on it from Tyndale. So, here goes! Okay, I learned a lot from this book. I did. I just can't explain it exactly. Like, I should know words to use to explain it, but I don't. It was a great fast read, I enjoyed it a lot, and I learned that I was one of those people who keep Christianity weird. Yep. I'm weird. But that's a compliment, I love being called weird! Lol So I wanted to put these questions up, and I was wondering if any of you could answer one or two of em. You don't obviously have too, but I tried to answer them myself after I read them, and I was wondering if anyone could come up with a better answer than me :) Question #1 Who are some historical (or contemporary) people you particularly admire? Why? What, if anything, is eccentric about those people? Question #2 Where do you fall on a spectrum of conventional to crazy? How do you feel you fit in to this vision of the Christian fai...

Review of Through the Pages by Annie Louise Twitchell.

Image
Okay, so, this may be the shortest review I've ever written, but you'll see why if you keep reading. I cannot write a long review, because I fell in love with Through the Pages, and you can't describe love, you can't put down love in words. It's indescribable. It's so amazing that there is not one word in this whole world that would even begin to describe it. This book, it's characters, it's story, it's every line, every sentence, every letter of every word is so magical and amazing and wonderful and extraordinary, astounding, marvelous, phenomenal, and the story is so beautiful and beautifully written is the whole book, I will definitely be reading it again one day, probably soon. And I very highly recommend it to anyone wanting something to change their life. The characters remind you of people you know, they worm they're way into your heart and they rest there, for all eternity. The story was so relatable, so incredible and appealing. Y...
