Body positivity

Hi!

Do you know of anyone who struggles with acceptance of their body?
Do they call themselves fat, ugly, too skinny, too tall or too short?
Well, ask them if they made something, and someone pointed out all the "flaws", what they would say to that.

Well, if your a Christian, then you know that God made you the way He wanted you. You don't have a "flaw" that He didn't put there. You are the way you are because of Him. He made you tall, short, skinny, fat, because that's the way He wanted you.  He created you in His eyes the way you are supposed to be.
So next time that you  call yourself ugly, remember, Someone made those "flaws" because they care about you, and that They love you.

You're never ugly, too fat, or too tall, your exactly as your supposed to be!
I constantly call myself ugly, but I know that I'm not, since God created me beautiful inside and out. But it's hard to get rid of a habit. And that's what that is, a habit. I have a habit of calling myself ugly. I'm trying to stop, and so far it's working. Do you have a habit like that? Then change, stop saying that kind of stuff. Instead of starting off your day by calling yourself fat, or ugly. Look at the positive side of everything! "Wow, I'm really tall, I'm glad God made me that way."  Or, "Wow!  I'm so beautiful!"
If you try it, you'll see that you have a better additude throughout your day.
We have to learn to accept our bodies the way God made them, otherwise we won't ever accept ourselves as we are.
"You are altogether beautiful my darling; there is no flaw in you."
Song of Solomon 4:7

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Genesis 1:27

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 2:10

  1. Hey, this is so true! You are certainly no ugly and good for you for stopping saying that about yourself!

Though, there are things we do to ourselves that God didn't make about us... we are meant to be good stewards of everything God gave us, including our bodies. So what we eat, how we exercise does matter! God may have made some girls with wider hips or some guys with large torsos... but he didn't make people obese or anorexic. Just a thought to consider.

You look neither, of course! But amazing. Keep taking care of yourself, and keep believing this truth about how God made you!

  2. Good for you! We do need to be more mindful of how when we criticize the way we look, often we're really criticizing God's handiwork. (I do agree with Keturah, though, of course. :))

    Thanks for sharing! ;)
