Yes, You can Heather! Book review.

Yes, I know that this book is old. But my sister found it at a thrift store and thought I might like it. Did I like it? I loved it! It's about a girl named Heather Whitestone, who went profoundly deaf when she was 18 months old. She had a goal, that goal was to become Miss America!  People thought she couldn't do it, after all, she was deaf. People told her that she wouldn't have a normal life, or a good future, as she can only have an education up to the third grade. Why? Because she's deaf? She's clearly not stupid! She started participating in pageants and won a lot of them! Or at least won sonething from it, usually the talent contest as she was do amazing at ballet. She graduated with honors from high school. So much for that third grade education! She kept a friendship with God through everything, praising Him for everything and anything. Trusting Him no matter what. Through everything! She had a goal, and most people thought she couldn't fulfill ...

Remember the love ❤

Above is my baby, Jordan. He passed right before Christmas, and I miss him like I've never missed another animal before. He was my baby, my best friend, my comfort, my happiness, my forever smiling joy.  I had him for two years, and those two years were two of the best years of my life. I know he's in a better place, and I look forward to seeing him again when life's over for me.  But for now, I'm left on earth to be saddened by his passing. That night, he made his way to my bed, climbed into my lap, and held my hand as he always did, until his last breath. He had no joy in  his eyes that night, but he sure did have love for me in them. I will always remember the way his sunbeam golden eyes shined whenever he saw me.  The way his entire face lit up when I was going to hug him.  I will remember him fighting the other cats for a place on my lap, and the look of victory on his face when he got the prime spot. He was the happiest baby I've had in a long time...

Hey y'all!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!   Yes, I know, it's not till tomorrow, but as I won't be on tomorrow I'm writing it now! I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow! Now, I'd like to meet my readers! Please!  Leave me a comment and tell me about your Thanksgiving! Tell me one thing your thankful for! Do you even celebrate Thanksgiving? Let me know! So, my day, hmm, well, we usually have Thanksgiving lunch, but this year it's dinner!  Why? Well, my brother got invited somewhere with his friends so we changed our time so that he could go. I actually personally don't like doing that considering he didn't care he was skipping out on us but we're changing anyway! Tonight my sister and I made pumpkin pies for tomorrow, and then comes the rest of the food tomorrow! My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is when family gets together and has a big meal together.  I'm most thankful that God gave me family to be with. 😊 For me it's just m...

Review of A Whisper of Peace

So, I really liked this book!! It's about this missionary named Clay who goes to Alaska to preach to the athabascan Indians and he falls in love with a white/Indian woman who is shunned from the village but after the death of her grandfather, her grandmother says she can come back. Her name is Lizzie, she was born out of the village after her Indian mother married a white man, they had her, her father left her and her mother when she was 12,her mother then died when she was 16,her dying wish was for Lizzie to make peace between herself and her grandparents. Lizzie made a coat for her grandmother hoping it would be enough, but it wasn't, not until sickness struck the village and her grandfather died, after coming to Jesus. Clay and Lizzie got married and preached to the rest of the tribe after she has a baby. It's a Christian read, and I loved it! I recommend you look for it if your looking for a good book to read. A Whisper of Peace by Kim Vogel Sawyer.
